Fiona designed this Armchair for a customer who was a very tall man and was married to a very little woman and they had a very tight space to fit a chair.  It fitted the bill and has been an extremely popular chair ever since.  The round back is very accommodating as it allows the chair to fit almost anywhere.   The retail price inc. We have found that the Club Chair can be used in more contemporary settings as well as the more traditional club room – it’s extremely comfortable and often used as a card playing chair.  The retail price inc. Fiona Campbell established her business of curtain making and interior design at 259 New King’s Road and has worked from the same premises for 45 years.

Before it was a Motor Accessories shop, 259 had been a Butchers shop, fitted out with rows of meat hooks where we hung our curtains – now replaced, but useful initially.  Fiona started the business on her own and now employs 2 showroom managers, 3 curtain designers, an accountant and a team of experienced seamstresses.  We have worked throughout Britain, South of France and Holland but are based primarily in the South of England.

This is how we work:  We do not charge for initial consultations and you are welcome to visit our showroom in Parson’s Green to sample fabrics, wallpapers, paints, carpets – discuss furniture, upholstery, headboards, soft-furnishings and lighting solutions – your entire scheme.  We do not charge for this time – there is not clock ticking in the showroom (although if a lengthy consultation is required, appointments made ahead of time would be appreciated).  We take the time and endeavour to let our customers scheme evolve and allow their character to be expressed by their own choices without pushing an ‘in-house’ style.

We keep customers design details of all work done and have many repeat customers who recommend us to their families and friends.  We have baskets full of templates of swags, tails, flutes and pelmets which have been designed for palaces, castles, country houses and more often than not – London homes.

Our showroom is an extremely organised tardis with our workroom downstairs and design offices at the back.  With our system of boxes housing thousands of fabric, wallpaper and trimming samples, every inch of showroom space is used and constantly updated as new collections are introduced.  We sample what we think will interest our customers – or – just because we love it.
