Interior Design Project - The Hurlingham Club, London

We were asked to completely re-furbish the busy and popular ‘POLO BAR’ so that members and their guests could enjoy a relaxing drink there, before supper or dinner, after tennis, squash or a swim. We worked closely with the management committee, presenting them with a design which was within their budget, and completed the job within the required period. This involved recovering some existing pieces of furniture and supplying some new furniture, supplying and fitting new carpet, designing the curtains, making and fitting these, selection of paint colours to be used, and new lighting to be installed.

Curtain Design

With 6 windows in a row, this was a design challenge which we resolved – to create a non-uniform look, having long curtains at the French doors and Roman Blinds on the sill length windows. We used an aqua chenille fabric with a contrast chenille border, to give an opulent but cosy look for long dark winter evenings, keeping the colour pale enough for summer evenings with the curtains open.
