About Us
Established in 1967, Fiona Campbell has spent more than 50 years in the business of creating beautiful homes; places to live in with style and a haven in which to feel relaxed and truly at home.
Still operating from the original showroom and studio in Parsons Green, our team of designers specialise in decorative interior design, drawing on a rich heritage of producing bespoke soft furnishings and window treatments.
True to Fiona’s founding vision, our designers guide and encourage clients to express their own style, working to suit their way of life and create enduring benefit through interior design.
As well as decorating residential interiors, we work with companies, clubs and hotels. We design to meet business needs. True to estimate and on time, our goal is to uphold and surpass your expectations.
Whether a whole house or a single upholstered chair, our great belief is always to allow the client to be involved in design decisions and never to dictate a particular style.
“When I first approached Fiona Campbell Design to help me renovate a substantial Georgian house I felt truly daunted. I knew what I liked and didn’t like but unsure how to achieve this. The project was one of true collaboration with the help of a professional, innovative and very friendly team, who always listened, sometimes guided and produced some wonderful and original ideas. All the work undertaken was of the highest quality, delivered on time and to the quotation given. Not only does Fiona Campbell Design have a huge variety of fabrics to choose from in the showroom, but also amazing trimmings and they will search for anything needed. So pleased was I with the result of our first house that when we recently moved I approached Fiona Campbell again to help renovate another house and am again very happy with all that has been achieved. Perhaps the key to Fiona Campbell Design’s success is that while they do so much of the work I definitely feel the house is mine and all I want it to be.”

Fiona Campbell’s Story
I can trace my first interest in interiors back to a time when my parents were living in Sweden when I was a child. I remember finding the Swedes’ take on design very engaging but it wasn’t until many years later that this nascent interest turned into a career for me.
Fresh out of school, I enrolled in Katinkas School of Dressmaking where I learnt pattern cutting, how fabrics are put together and how to actually make things. Something that would stand me in extremely good stead for my future as an interior designer. After a stint in the fashion business, and then jewellery making, I began to find myself drawn more and more to the world of interior design.
I started my business on my own in 1967 with just £8 in my bank account. With determination, perseverance and incredible hard work, I built a successful design practice that is still going strong to this day and operating out of the original showroom and studio in Parsons Green.
My lucky break came with a 4 room flat that I shared with a friend and did up on a shoe string. We painted the flat ourselves, looked around for anything needed at no cost and my parents provided the curtain and upholstery material. We ended up with a truly lovely place to live in that a journalist friend asked if she could feature in House Beautiful Magazine. From there came a request to decorate and make all the soft furnishings for a number of flats in Lowndes Square. The rest, as they say, is history.
The designers that work for me today remain true to my original vision, encouraging clients to express their own style while offering them fresh ideas and possibilities, taking them to new levels of design and guiding them through a smooth and enjoyable journey from concept to completion. Each project is approached with the same end goal; to enable the lifetime benefit of interior design and the joy of being truly at home.
